The primary difference between the Pentek P-250 and the Pentek P-250A is that the P-250A reduces MTBE and the P-250 does not.

The P250A Filter Set can be used as a direct replacement for the Culligan D-250A cartridge set and the American Plumber W-250a. Be sure to install these Pentek water filters with the black gasket end pointing up.

Pentek P-250A Customer Questions & Answers

Question:What is the difference between cbc-10 filters and cfbc-10 filters?
Answer(s):

The CFBC series uses a proprietary technology to place a powdered activated carbon into a cellulose-free synthetic fiber material, whereas the CBC Series is a traditional carbon block. The advantage of the proprietary design of the CFBC series is that it will offer less pressure loss (better flow rate performance) and longer life.
